I have a RadioShack IR thermometer and I measuered my Forte at 140 degrees after about 2 hours of high volume listening

Alrighty, back from an afternoon at Kenscollick's and the meat thermometer says, Oooooo 175 deg F on the Krell!

Got my pocket infrared thermometer today... tres cool (er, hot!). Measuring everything in sight now!

Belles 350A Ref amp, idling = 124 deg F
Tube recified Modwright Pre, idling = 105 deg F
Unfortunately, no time to crank system up to really listen tonight

For comparison...
60 Watt light bulb = 154 deg F
Cup of tea I'm sipping = 134 deg F

Anybody else get theirs yet?

Sunfires run even cooler.
