Before I got the transporter I seriously considered the lavry da10. Probably won't ever get that one now. However, I probably WILL end up with a benchmark dac1 usb at some point down the road (not now!). I want to use it at work as a headphone amp/dac. When that day comes it will be interesting to hear the transporter vs. the sb3/dac vs. the transporter/dac.

I would certainly consider the transporter, since I want to get an additional one or 2 SB3's for other rooms anyway, but it seems it bit more expensive than just the external DAC (or those that have been mentioned so far). I too would be interested in which seems best.... transporter vs SB3+ext DAC.

OR's great man! I'd love to spend a lot more time there if it werent for the fact that I have end-of-rotation exams that I have to study for. But, alas, I think my calling lies in the Emergency Department.
