I've a failing panel on my Purity speakers. I saw some spare panels from a different model being offered and wondered, can panels from different models be utilised? Or is that a no NO? I'm thinking of panels that are not dissimilar in size. Does anyone know?

I don't know what model panels may be interchangeable but used panels are a gamble, and your query implies that you're handy enough to remove and replace a panel yourself, so restoring your existing panels may be an option.

If the original diaphragms can be saved, merely recoating them (easy to do) would restore full volume, for about $100.

Replacing diaphragms is more complicated, and materials for that would run $150-$500, depending on whether any or all of the original adhesive spacer-tapes can be reused.

Generally no. Between similar models such as Aeon vs Aeon i, or Summit vs Summit X, maybe, although there may be differences. You can contact ML and check.

You can also go to the ML website and see the exact panel dimensions and see if it will at least physically fit.
