Okay, well that was an honest answer, I hear ya.
Since some of my posts have at least caused you ponder multichannel then hear/here are a couple of really good Universal Disc Players that you can use for SACD, DVD Audio, SHM, HRCD, Redbook, DVD Video and just about every format that I have found out there.
McCormack UDP-1, check reviews on it if you want, but it costs from 3K new on A'gon to as little as 1K used. Every review states it plays with players in the 6 to 10K range.
Also the Simaudio Moon Orbiter, whenever one comes on A'gon they usually don't last a day. They retailed for 8 or 9K new and go for about 4K used. This machine also has a reputation for playing with the big boys. I have both and can say their prowess is not over-rated.
Either machine hooked up with a PS Audio Digital Link III, is a killer combination for 2 channel and oh yeah there is that button that lets you access the 5.1 surround layer whenever you might want a taste.
The one truth about Multi-channel Universal Disc players is that you can always play Two-Channel when you want. Unfortunately with two channel Universal Disc Players you can't play Multi-channel when the moment is right.......or maybe that's Cialis.
I know with CLXs in surround mode, if you listen for more than 4 hours in a row you should see a doctor.......you know that may be Cialis too.
