I thought I'd share yesterdays motorcycle experience with the group..........

My brother-in-law and few other friends participated in a Memorial fund raising ride in honor of a local Marine who made the ultimate sacrifice six years ago in Iraq. he left behind two young boys so for the past four years this ride has help to raise money for a scholorship fund for the two of them.

We gathered at a local Fire hall and went on a fully escorted, local and state police as well as fire police, ride for 150 miles. We literally had the roads to ourselves and with over 350 bikes in the parade we were a large group to say the least !

My reason for sharing this story is this..............for every overpass we went under, street corner passed through, and rural driveways ridden by we were greeted with flag waving Americans, along with those holding pictures of Marine Cpl Hardy and as we passed the Cemetary where he is laid to rest his family was there applauding our support.

So, with all our petty bickering and complaints about how this Counrty is going to hell in a hand basket, I'm here to tell 'ya.......you bet your arse I'm glad to be an American !!

a couple of pics attached....

Dave , I am with you. I thank the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to allow us our way of life and the freedoms we enjoy.

Amen. Especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and also to all who serve. Their dedication is remarkable and their sacrifices many.

Our Country is humbled by their Service.
