Yes and no.
I usually keep everything turned on, because I work from home, and I listen to the stereo a lot while working.
But if I'm going to be away from the house for a long period of time (more than a day) I'll usually turn everything off AND unplug the main power strips from the walls, to protect from lightning. (the best way to protect from lightning strikes is to just UNPLUG!...)
When I come back from a trip, it usually takes 20 or 30 minutes for the system to sound "normal" again, and several hours for it to return to it's fully-tweaked glory. And I never play it hard until it's been on for at least a few hours.
