Lugano,
too bad your not coming to ML gathering in Kansas, I think we would get along. I love your sense of humour.

Guess you"ll just have to burn one with me. See you in Kansas!

I couldn't get past the fact that you didn't fast forward during the
commercial (especially if this turns into talk time !)
My first thought was ball lightening, but the shadow doesn't fit in
with that. (One of my professors was caught on a mountain in a cabin with
ball lightening--he said it traveled across the room and vanished with
a flash.) But you said it was more like a ribbon--and ribbon lightening
pretty much occurs outside during thunderstorms with high winds. But a
ribbon would be an arc between two points...no reports of that stuff
inside a house though. You didn't say much about the movement of the
shadow in terms of smooth, jerky, quick or slow--but it must have picked up
some speed before becoming a flash of light. You didn't note colors
either--so I guess we are talking about dark grey/green shadow and a white
light?
You probably won't ever know if the moving shadow was really a shadow
(which would have required a 3 dimensional item to move or the light
source projecting the shadow to move) or if it was an entity--so you have
little hope in solving the mystery, in my opinion. But you've been
there for 15 years--I'm having a hard time understanding why an entity
would visit--just out of the blue. Not that I make up the rules!
I think that we have Quantum and Particle Physics issues here--maybe a
4th dimensional issue since plasma is the 4th state of matter. This is
all about plasma disruptions (are you beating electrons?) and perhaps
the shadow entity came through the black hole from another dimension.
You know, there is a group of string-theory scientists that believes in a
theory of 11 dimensions--I mean, really, you've got to see a bunch of
them over a lifetime (well, 7 are supposed to be below the sub-atomic
level--so maybe there are only 4 that you can tap into as an average
person).
You two are opening the door for spontaneous combustion--I'm glad that
I'm not in the room. Course I like to go with the simplest
explanation--you two either are taking too many of pills or not enough. Man, you
are whacking out your electromagnetic fields--that is how come your
temporal lobe allowed you to see with your 3rd eye into the 4th dimension.
By the way--I've never seen a ghost--but I was forced down onto the
floor while walking across a room by a warm energy force (pushed down on
my right shoulder and forced me down onto one knee). I tried to get up
but could not stand-up, so I moved to the left, stood up and scurried
away. This was at someone's house in Madison--I don't know what it was,
but I "felt" it--I didn't see it. He thought that I was making it up for
attention and it happened in the middle of the night while I was
returning from the bathroom so there were no witnesses. That is my only true
experience with something "not of this world". Enough for me!
The two people who have died in our 1920's house have never been "active" in the 15 years we lived here.
Dark Shadow and Ripple of Light; Ball Lightning or My own Ghost Tale?
Tomorrow night, Friday night that is, I was planning to hunker down while the significant other half and our daughter go to see Medieval times show for the fourth time. Now while I enjoy that era of time, the show, and food that goes along with it, I think 3 times is enough. So tomorrow night is "boys night out" for me.
I do not need real time experiences with some crazy nothing better to do electro-magnetic interferences which manifest themselves into some form of afterlife in my house coming to tell me that I need more toe in on my logans. No way, game over!
Damn, I thought you were going to go to a strip club...I would go with you for that!:rocker:

I should tell you that my pre-amp has put my main system out of commission for the past several months. I unplugged the Aerius speakers quite a while ago so they would not collect dust.
Perhaps the constant electostatic charge (original Aerius speakers without the auto-on feature) was keeping the spirits at bay.
Maybe the only way to keep the universe intact and the ghost in their place is to keep playing music though Martin Logans.:haha1:
