It starts out at $249.00. But I got a $100.00 discount for my 2 year upgrade and a $50.00 rebate so only $100.00. The storm is a world phone both CDMA and GSM. It even works in Japan!!!

WOW! Can't believe they are that cheap...

Well, they are still going up against the amazing iPhone so they better be cheaper than that!

I have a 1st Gen iPhone that I bought second hand for $100, then I unlocked it and put my Razr SIM card in it and use it as is. Have added some really cool software but pretty much just use the stuff it came with! AWESOME FREAKING PHONE!

My wife loved it so I bought the same guys OTHER 1st gen iPhone (he had upgraded both to 3g) for another $100 and now she is happy too! She did call her carrier (could be anyone that uses a SIM card now, but we both happen to be w/ ATT already) and added a data plan so she could enjoy her iPhone even more!

Good luck with your decision!

Well, I got an iPhone, used it for 2 weeks, returned it for the Storm, used that for a day, and went back to the iPhone. The Storm was the biggest operational piece of junk I've ever used.

Once you've used the iPhone, everything else just doesn't measure up.

I too like the iPhone better that the Storm however I hate at&t. Verizion is far superior. Because of this and only this I'm a Storm user.

However having said the above the Storm is better than the iPhone when it comes to e-mail. It is a Blackberry after all.

I have an iPhone, and my sweetie has a BlackJack with AT&T. We both agree her BlackJack is a POS for surfing the net compared to the iPhone, and overall ergonomics, useability, and finctionality on the iPhone is just head and shoulders above anything else on the market. It's my opinion that the iPhone is the Martin Logan of the cell phone world... :D

I've heard of a lot of people having trouble with their iPhones 3G's, but I've had mine since they came out and haven't had a single problem with it. The first pair of headphones DID crap out after about 2 months, but the AT&T store ws REALLY cool and gave me a new pair.

I've got about a dozen apps on my phone (but no games) and I play a lot of music and podcasts through it too, and it works brilliantly.

If you have access to a 3g or WiFi network, the iPhone is surprisingly fast for surfing the net or reading email. It even downloads usic and apps quickly if you use these high-speed network connections. But I'll admit, on a standard "EDGE" network, downloads and internet access can be a little on the sluggish side...

If you want a phone that looks cool, is built well, and had a TON of super-cool, customizable functionality, then the iPhone is really the only game in town, IMO. Every other "smart phone" is just a pale imitator, a wannabe, a pretender...

I have been more than happy with my T-Mobile/Google G1. I have had it for a few months and have tweaked it to where it suits me nicely. Lots of cool apps available for it. And it just works. No 3G in my area yet, but EDGE is tolerable in a pinch when there is not a wi-fi network available.

I tried the touch keyboard available in a few apps for the G1 and prefer the hard keyboard. The camera leaves a lot to be desired, but I would not buy a phone based on its camera quality. I have a dig. cam. for taking photos. I also use Google Calendar so thats a huge feature to have in its native form on the G1. I also do not use the music player really. I use it as a communication and scheduling device primarily, with web browsing and games as secondary functions. And for that, it is perfect for me. Now if we can get T-Mobile to get their 3G up. :)
