Hey guys...

OMG, I saw an article online about this dude that is writing a book about Brett Favre. He is asking for fans to share their favorite memories of him and I submitted my experience of seeing the Packers come to play the Raiders on MNF the day after Favre's Dad passed away.

I got an email back from the author with this link on it:

They mention me and my submission! HOW COOL IS THAT?! I'm so jazzed!!!

Super Cool Tom!! And I am a Bears fan. Brett is the man no doubt about it.

Does that mean you will want your own 'head table' seating at the 'Get-Together' this June ?? !!

That was a great video... he's been amazing to watch over the years... and what a memory you have of that special day!!!

Brett Farve tribute book

I was a big fan of Joe Namath and saw him play in New York for years, and that was a great time. As for Brett and all he has done, it is only fitting that he get this award for everyone to enjoy (regardless if he retires or continures to break records). Really good Tom, thanks

I beg to differ, Walter will always be The Man to me! No better football player ever played the game. Not to take anything away from Brett, and not because I'm a Chicagoian, But because it's True!

Walter did it all, not only was he the greatest runner who ever lived, he caught more passes for more yards than anyone in Bears history, and threw 8 touchdown passes in his career!!!!

I second that. Brett and Walter both great players and great People.

Now just imagine if Gayle Sayers stayed healthy........... To me he was every bit what 'Sweetnes' was, unfortuneatly his playing days were cut short. Think if the medical / surgical capabilities today were available back then, it has been said the surgeons who operated on him did more damage than good.

Same can be said about my childhood hero, #4 Bobby Orr

definitely agree.. Walter was a class individual who did alot for the game both off and on the field.

Tom,
Didn't mean to sidetrack the thread, my emotions got the better of me.
I loved watching Walter, the man gave everything he had every game, even in his early days when the Bears stunk, and he had no offensive line, in that respect I believe Brett and Walter's career were very similar. Walter was a leader by example with his tireless work ethic and humble personality in a position which is not normaly associated with leadership like quarterback. He never complained about not getting a touchdown in the Superbowl even though he should have! The patriots defense in that game keyed in on stopping Walter, which the Bears wisely recognized and used a lot of play action and miss direction plays with Walter as the decoy. He mised one game in his entire 13 year career, never ran out of bounds and always intiated contact first when he was about to be tackled. Even in his death his unselfishness was an inspiration, never once did he use his celebrity to move up the donor list to get the new liver he needed to survive. Walter has been a huge role model and very influential in my life. I was 22 when he entered the NFL and I rarely missed a game. Sory to get on a rant, I'll stop now.

Yep.. saw that about an hour ago.. I think it's the right decision for him and also for the team.

Not for Aaron Rodgers, though... LOL!

He is never going to get to play
