Do Ascent i match with Mcintosh 6900 ?

I am searching for integrated amp for my ascent i .
Please recommend.

I had a chance to listen to this combination at a local dealer last year, I was not impressed, it sounded too harsh for me, the salesman blamed the CD player (It was a Mark Levinson but I could not recall the model). A week later I came back and they had the Ascent I driven by a Classe’ and it sounded much better. If you can, try to listen to them for yourself cause it may sound different to you.
