Another newbie with a question.

Hi All,

The question is which one to chose between, used Spires, used Summit or brand new Theos...? All at same price.

I can't compare as the seller is 500Km away... From what I read and heard, I would have prefered a new pair of Summit X but my budget is limited...

The amp is a Pass Labs X150 and room is 10X19.

All are great speakers.. Tell us this:

How old are the Summits and Spires? Are they owned by the original owner and what kind of environment have they been in? Knowing the current owner and his (or her) environment is critical when buying used.

Summits and Spires have the same electrostatic element, but the woofer section is different.... IMHO, Summits are better than Spires, buy not by much. Depending on age and condition, I'd go with Summits, then Spires, then Theos. That's just my preference..
