A while back, I made some comments suggesting that at that point in time that higher end DAC's were all up to the task.
I was using my OPPO 105D happily assuming that it was as good as I ever needed and I discounted comments by others who evaluated it and found it was OK, but not as good as others.
I assumed that my ML's just exposed things in some music so that some tracks didn't sound very good, or only sounded good up to a certain volume.
The Eversolo DMP-A8 that I just got absolutely sounds better at all volumes, on all tracks, and made unplayable tracks playable. There is no sense of harshness or raspiness in some tracks that I didn't like.
This doesn't mean I've suddenly changed my opinions on everything, but damn I was SOOOOO WRONG about this!
So sorry to all who I butted heads with on this subject.
