Hi would it make sense to put side surround speaker ( martin logan of course) about 3 ft behind the listening seat? They would be something like helos 100. Would they match with my vantage and passage? Otherwise, the only other place to put side surround speaker would be ...on the side...

What next product would you like to see in Martin logan's line? Martin Logan has wireless subwoofer. How about wireless high-end subwoofers ( descent ii ?) and wireless surround in or on-wall loudspeakers. Something else?

Mine are used with Classé audio preamp processor and an old Simaudio 50w/8 ohm amp. Great sound! This amp is able to drive 1 ohm speaker. So it's not the 8 ohm rating that count, it's the amp quality. I might change this amp for a newer Classe or Simaudio. Prefer to buy something from where I...

Usually emotiva's fan praised their component saying something like "for the price". As long as you're happy there's nothing to argue even if this is great happiness "for the price".

You may find great taken care off used Vantage right here like I did. That was and that would still be my choice.

The first time I heard a MBL demo, the remote stopped working and the guy there was unable to operate it without the remote. MBL looked like a big expensive joke! The last time it was quite different. It sounded nothing less than great. However they wouldn't pass the WAF test.

I can't remember when ( it was many years ago) audio-ideas magazine conducted some tests on different cables. Resistance, inductance capacitance ( the usual suspects) were measured relative to frequencies. Guess what? They didn't measure the same. the worst were zip cord and one expensive...

I got passage as surround speakers (Vantage front). I use an old (vantage) cheap low power kenwood receiver to drive them (The passage) for now it' ok, but eventually I would like to add some serious amp.
