So nobody else has the Passage speakers?

    Passage system - amp/receiver?

My issue started when we brought a movie we started watching downstairs, to upstairs...and I hated the sound...absolutely hated it. I had a lot of thoughts on what to get...in-wall? on-wall? Magnepan? Finally settled on the pic below......(WAF TBD).... My question? Struggling with how...

    Vantage/Vista SQ

According to the specs... Frequency response: Vista: 43-23Khz Vantage: 34-23Khz Just based on that, I would imagine the Vantage to be better *edit* Better in terms of dynamic range and low end. This is also assuming the woofer amp in the vantage is as good as whatever is powering the vista...

New To ML, need advise please

Welcome aboard :D. I'm a bit over a year into the game, but I still feel like a newlywed :p. All I can say is I listened to the Motion 4s and I was impressed! I was thinking of using them for a 2nd system. If you ever plan on getting into music (even remote chance), I'd spring for the Motion...

System #372 (Vantage, Aerius i, Logos, Grotto)

Thanks..and tell me about it. I had decent PSB stuff before + a decent receiver. All I wanted was a center channel that was big enough for my screen, and then the bug hit and things starting changing one by one. Electrostats are amazing!

System #368 (Summit, Cinema i, Descent, Vignette)

Nice setup :). How do you feel the Vignette pair with the Summit? I have Aerius i on the back of Vantages....was thinking of switchint it out with something a little smaller as rear channel doesn't really have much going on IMO.

System #372 (Vantage, Aerius i, Logos, Grotto)

Thanks! Room isn't huge by standards on this site.....15x20. It's meant to be a main floor guest room (parent suite) or whatever. Right now it's my man-cave...and kids area when we have parties. If I were to do it again, I would separate the media from the game part...just didn't think I'd...

    Lifetime Service for MartinLogan Products

Of course...but at some point premium becomes price gouging. To me...if a panel costs say 20% of the original cost. Premium means 25%-30%. When the choice becomes between re-paneling, or throwing away the speaker (literally) and getting a modern equivalent...then it's price gouging. It's...

    Lifetime Service for MartinLogan Products

Wow! These types of changes rarely happens. I am duly impressed and warmed by it. I am relatively new to the ML world even though my entire system is ML...I look forward to eventual upgrades :D. Quick question, not to be devil's advocate or anything....but I hope that the change didn't come...

Martin Logan Speakers On Hard Wood Floors

I bought myself a pair of subdude HD ($60 each) for my Vantages on hardwood floors. Works really well and it's easy to move around. I also liked that it raises the speakers 2" or so. Platform is a little wider than the speaker so make sure that works for you. You can also get wooden...

Can I use a single Scipt as my center?

The reflections are a valid point, but you would get direct sound as you will be within the 30 degrees. About off-center chairs..the..script has a pretty big panel, so depends on how many chairs wide he is. But overall, yes...it's probably not the best idea as lots of issues to deal with.

    Vantage Damage?

Carriers are like that, you have to show proof of box damage for them to cover it. What that really means is they could put your package in a paint mixer and not be liable. Sucks...but that's my understanding of it :(.

    Service Notice for Discontinued Products

I remember some notes up there about buying panels ahead of time (Rich I believe?)... I was under the impression that buying extra panels and storing them isn't a good idea as they can still deteriorate and lose life. Not the case? I mean... I often buy 6 month supply of household stuff...

    Service Notice for Discontinued Products

I can add to that. My outdoor speakers are Bose 251 (or something like that). Hired someone to bring wiring indoors to outdoors. Thing was he dropped one of the speakers...dented the grill and cracked the box...and didn't tell me. I was very annoyed when I saw it (days later). I was...

Can I use a single Scipt as my center?

You are doing mixed gen (Vista vs Script)...some folks are picky about that. Personally I wouldn't let that bother me. Biggest issue is how you will place it...you want your center to be "dead center".....that would mean placing it vertically, I'd love to see where you TV is...maybe above it...
