Tube preamp with SS amps is a terrific setup for ML Speakers. Also Class A SS Amps, such as Pass Labs. Also agree with the positive comments regarding Sanders Magtech amps, which seem just right for ML Speakers.

Was, sadly, I was unable to make it for the Lawrence get-together. Would definitely be down for the next one. Great idea!

Just have to agree with you that Pass Labs is a terrific match for Martin Logans. And, yes, I certainly feel I am "set for life" with my current setup.

It appears that some businesses are more adept at finding the right balance between pricing and volume than are others. As many here willl know, there is a formula for figuring all this out. Determining elasticity of demand can be an interesting exercise. All that to say, I admire that...

I think Robert may be on to something with his advice. Also, if it is Very Easy to listen to a variety of music you really enjoy that might be helpful as well. Probably -- and unfortunately -- less use of your VPI turntable. Just a thought... And, of course, best of luck getting back to all...

^^^Totally agree! Shawn is excellent to work with in every respect. FWIW, I went from a Stage (not X) to the Illusion C34A, and it was a very significant upgrade for me.
