I would love to go with 7.1 but that would make me change my preamp (Rotel) as well as somehow make my fiance(e? - never know how to spell it correctly :) ) accept it.... Probably it would double their cost :). Also I have no idea how would I place all of them. But the idea is outstanding :)

Can anybody provide me with detailed pictures of the inside electronics of the speaker (crossover). I just found out that the previous owner in his infinite wisdom was playing around with it and soldered some stuff here and there without disclosing that.... I would like to put them to factory...

I already have a set of Odysseys and Requests, and now I just found another pair of ReQuests in good condition for a great price. I was wondering if anybody would recommend putting two Requests right around TV and hooking them up as a Center channel to the amplifier? Is it possible? Placement...

That is what I was suspecting. The only Adcom I found that had specification provided of being able to go to 2 ohms was GFA-565 monoblock. The amps that have the characteristics you described are mostly a very good amps I noticed (Krell, Pass, etc...). Now all I need is $3k and Im set :)...

I have an Adcom 5800 amp (250w at 8ohm, 400w at 4ohm) and Requests. When going loud (I mean really loud) there is a lot of distortion. I am leaning towards the amps ability to drive ReQuests, especially as they dip into sub 2ohm level.... What amp should I look at, Pass, Krell ? Or maybe my...

I washed my panels (actually one of them) yesterday. I will put them on tonight to see what effect (if any) it had on the sound quality. If that doesnt help I might go with recoating the panel with the conductive fluid. In the worst case I will have to get new panels anyways... The only problem...

I just contacted Martin Logan for the pricing on the new panels for either Request or Odyssey and the quotes I got are $900 each set. Is this the going price for them? It seems awfully expensive. Greg
