Decoupling your sub makes a noticeable difference in its performance. Probably won't help you against any standing waves you have in your room, but it will help the sub itself. I wouldn't waste the 100+ bucks ML charges for their spikes though. Either build your own or get something from...

I find that I rather like the spikes diggin into the wood floor - leaves a nice pattern for when you leave the place you're living in. Might **** off the wife but who cares. -D

TDUB - B&K offered to update my software when I called to ask them why I was having trouble connecting my laptop to the Ref 50 just to set the thing up. Hell, they even sent me a box and packaging free. -D

Do the high end Velo subs have decent finishes or do they use the same piece of *&$# roll on veneer that the lower end subs use? Also, do they use a plastic front/rear baffle as well? I demoed a velo sub from the Good Guys this past December before I decided to build my own. I don't remember...

Build box speakers yourself. Good example - http://www.linkwitzlab.com/orion_challenge.htm Given the drivers used in that speaker, I'd bet it'd come pretty close to some of the higher end Logans. -D

I've enjoyed the CD's you sent me a lot. In fact I just listened to one of them two days ago. I don't remember what exactly was in my system last we spoke, but I'm pretty sure I changed a few things. I'm hoping to get a picture or two posted today from work. Speakers are all the same though. -D

Check out LINN amps - you can pick up a 5 channel used amp on Audiogon for under 2 1/2 grand easily. Sound terrific with Logans too. Mine is a small stereo LINN amp rated stable at 400W into 2 ohms. -D
