I am playing devil's advocate here, but I have the following thought for you: the distributor for Nordost here claims that even the least expensive new interlink (Heimdall) is better than the much more expensive older Quattro Fil. Maybe Nordost found out that they needed to release a new product...

I will also get the loudspeaker cables on demo... If they are worth THAT MUCH more than the Blue Heaven will be reported here!

I also don't believe in quick A/B tests. Having the equipment at home and 'living' with it for some days wil give you a much better picture of the pros and cons and will make you hear more the more you listen.

I would have guessed the Black Knight and Solar Wind would not be as good as your home-made cables. The BH en RD will be much better is my suspicion.

The Solar Wind is a bit thin sounding, the Black Knight will not be a big improvement and the Red Dawn is just too bright. Blue Heaven is juuuuuust right! :D

Nordost Blue Heaven, or better yet: Red Dawn. Extremely transparant and fast, with very stable and large imaging and much air and detail. They are also very musical. You will love them!
