A sad ending for Quads. Good to know Magnepan still produces their speakers in the USA. Almost everything seems to be made in China now. Even my wife's new Volvo is made there, they own Volvo. Her old Volvo was made in Sweden. So far her new car has been good.

Are the new Quad ESLs priced more affordable now, since they are produced from Chinese parts. Are they assembled there too? Hopefully at least there is a price savings there for the customer?

That's great. So someone could turn off this new program and then run something like ARC on their preamp and compare. I'll have to see if any hi-fi stores around here carry it.

Thats my thought. The OP was talking like he has a next home in mind. How far in the future is this planned? If it is under 2 years then I would probably just keep the new 15's boxed up and fresh like new. Move to the new home and then unbox them for use.

With my Marantz, I just connect my receiver directly to the internet via a single ethernet cable. No need to involve a PC. Isn't the Anthem able to download the new firmware directly from the internet? You should not need to be connected to a computer.

Try plugging the red banana plug into the black terminal to see if it fits. I cant imagine that it wont. Both terminals should be the same, and both holes should fit a regular banana plug. I never heard of any other kind of connection. You should be able to just buy some banana plugs and...
