PBK: ARC For ML Subwoofers & Masterpiece Speakers

Something to keep in mind with "stacking" corrections is that it's not guaranteed to work. When I tried using PEQ in my processor, and then applied a Dirac filter - also residing in the processor, it doesn't work at all. Lots of crazy results. But I use ARC in my subs (the ARC correction...

PBK: ARC For ML Subwoofers & Masterpiece Speakers

Thanks! 1. Unfortunately, no. I'd like to do the same just to see what Anthem's mic thinks of itself with a different app. 2. Absolutely! I do this as my usual routine. 3. I don't see why not. I'm on the emotivalounge.proboards.com forum and we have a REW thread called ZOOMING In REW and we...

PBK: ARC For ML Subwoofers & Masterpiece Speakers

This is specifically related to ML's version of Built-In ARC on certain speakers and subwoofers. It only corrects up to 300Hz for Dynamo Subwoofers, and up to 500Hz for some Masterpiece Speakers. This first set of examples is with a Expression 13A speaker. I have 3 UMIK microphones setup for...

    2023 Axpona

Yeah, that's a long haul, so you'd want to stay in a nearby hotel. For me it's just 30-45 minutes depending on day and time of day. I know some folks coming from out of state and are hotel-ing it.

    Setting Correct Frequency Range

@ejspain oops, forgot I'm going to a friend's birthday bash tonight, so I'll get back with you Sunday, I'm out all day and night tomorrow. sorry I thought I'd have some time this afternoon but the day went kerflooey.

    Setting Correct Frequency Range

Took me a while to understand that MultiEQ and DynamicEQ are EQ apps. I'd not known about them before. Ok, so to recap, I use ML PBK/ARC for the Expressions which as we all know is only for the woofers up to 300Hz. I love how well it works for the Expressions! ARC is always enabled. Next, I...

Well, my BF 210 has a big problem and I purchased it new in July 2021. Here is what it is doing.

Garage door springs are rated for the number of uses. Some are 5,000, some are 10,000, some go higher. But it's expected that annual lubrication is performed to reach those number of operations. When you do the math, you may find that the average spring is only expected to last about 7 years...

    Setting Correct Frequency Range

Heeeeers Scotty! I've used Dirac for limiting the corrected frequency range to less than 400-ish Hz. I never limited anything below 300Hz because I wanted all of that to be smoothed out. Dirac has always done a good job with the frequencies in the low region, unlike MSO which has never sounded...

Great video!!! Thank you very much! I'd seen the earlier video Jon mentions, but this one clears up a lot of things he spoke about in the previous one. I come away with my original supposition with a modification in term, that single plane subs are preferred. They also should be of the same...

This makes sense. I'm pretty sure it needs room facing drivers. Opposed drivers, passive radiators, etc, just would confuse things.

    So I Bought XT F200s

The wave guide shape is one difference. Many years ago, a sales associate placed his hands on both sides of his mouth and while speaking he varied the distance fore and aft and changed the angles of his flattened hands to create a megaphone and negative megaphone affect vs no hands around the...

WHAT IS THIS PLEASE?!? I can't find any information about this for the life of me

I'd say it's possible it was made in 2011-January- first one that month of production. Look at the preceding letters. Search for a decoder. I'd say it's likely that WA = 2011January. MF has to do with model, for example, MotiF.

Well, my BF 210 has a big problem and I purchased it new in July 2021. Here is what it is doing.

ARC has quite a few settings to tailor how it alters the output. Default settings can often be improved upon. It just takes some trials to work through how each setting can alter the output as-measured by REW. I've had ARC and REW open concurrently and have made adjustments, then quickly...

Well, my BF 210 has a big problem and I purchased it new in July 2021. Here is what it is doing.

I like Rythmik subs a lot! I tried to order a couple but was having difficulty in finding out when the model Rythmik recommended that I buy would be available, and what it would cost. After a couple weeks of emails and phone calls I gave up and bought my first Dynamo subs. But there's still...

Well, my BF 210 has a big problem and I purchased it new in July 2021. Here is what it is doing.

I think there's an aspect of ML BF series subs that's gotten lost here. BF series subs, like the powered Masterpiece series speaker woofers, use a tech that simply cannot compare to single driver subs because it's not a fair fight, the BF series wins. Balanced Force with ARC is a really cool...
