I'm curious how you isolated the defect as being an 8" segment in one panel? Did you play pink noise through both speakers and place a calibrated mic close to each panel and measure SPL's while moving mic vertically to compare both? As an owner of 8 y/o Expressions, I'm dismayed to hear...

I think you're right Jonathon. I mistakenly thought the old Descent and Depth were their lower line models, but now remember they were the SOTA models at the time, with three drivers. The BalancedForce line replaced them.

FYI, per this video (and others) from Cedia 2024, ML is planning to replace the BalancedForce models with two new Depth subs... the Depth 212 and Depth 215... Interesting that they're using the Depth name for these. I hope this isn't an omen that they're cutting back (or punting) on the...

Sounds like your kit has different cables than the PBK kit I got with my Expressions. As I recall, my kit came with TWO Mini USB to USB-A cables. The Mini USB's plug into the mic and back of speaker respectively, and both USB-A's then plug into the computer running ARC Genesis. The NEW Mic...

No need to worry. The newer Anthem mics work perfectly well, and are higher quality than the older plastic PBK one's. They have a built-in cal file that ARC Genesis software will automatically apply.
