While I'm as concerned as the next person about government over-reaching, I think it's important to clarify that citizens/consumers will not be able to access the parts of the cars.gov site that are in question, only dealers and only when they "submit" a transaction to the federal DOT, as administrator of the "cash for clunkers" program. That doesn't make it right- it just greatly limits the possibility of government misuse.

It doesn't matter what the debate of the moment is... What I find staggering is that over time we've all collectively stopped asking the question, "Where is the constitutional authority for this?" :think:
