Hey guys,

I don't mean to jump into a forum and just ask a question, but i can't seem to get an answer to my question.

I am trying to get speakers at best buy before i quite to take advantage of my discount before it is gone. I went today to look at the Def Tech's and the Klipsch's and fell in love with the ML Preface speakers. They had some Sources as well, but i didn't like that you lost sound quality drastically by moving around the room.

Either way, i was wondering what center channel to pair with these beauties. Couldn't find anyone on here who owned any (might have missed it if there are any) so i had nothing to compare it to. While i'm sure the Stage sounds great, it's way out of my price point. Preferably something best buy sells, but if not, no biggie. I just want it to sound good, and be <$1000.

And less importantly, but while i'm here and have your ear, any sub recommendations? They had a couple Def Tech's, A small Klipsch, and the abyss, but none of them impressed me. I don't know if i just didn't like their settings or if i'm just looking for too much in a sub. I want something that gives me the movie theater feel of some pounding. Grant it clear and tight, but some boom. This system will be going in a 14'x19' room with pretty tall ceilings, so the fact that their little sound room didn't kick at all with a sub bugged me. But I loved the sound out of those Preface's!

Thanks for your time!

Cliff

Hola...I would try the Fresco i. It uses the same mid and high driver that your Preface uses. They will be timbre matched and using the same ATF technology. Regarding the sub, I will listen the Abyss again. It uses a very powerfull digital amp with low distortion and goes very deep too. Happy listening and trust your ears!
Roberto.

yes the fresco i fine speaker great for voices! I have heard them and the preface in the same room and the mids and highs go together well I think that would be a perfect match. I own 2 frescos and a stage I will say that the fresco will hold its own as a center. I would skip the cinema i as I owned that speaker and it did not have the magic sound that martin logan is known for.
