Used Aerius i or new ML Source - what to buy?

Hello all,

I am working on the big step of moving up to ML. My question - am I better off with a used pair of Aerius i or buying the new ML Source speakers?

What is the difference in sound quality? Is there differences in the requirements for amps? Other considerations.

I believe this exact same question has been posted before. There is no direct answer.

The Aerius is higher up in the ML line, so theoretically better. It is more on the level of the current Vista.

The Source is lower down the line, however you may prefer the albeit smaller Gen2 panel.

Listen to both and make your own decision. The only point I can add is that a used Aerius may require new panels meaning the cost would be slightly more. You can always check the age of the panels using the serial number decode on this website.
