Tweeters are blown Theil want 160 american dollars a piece to refurbish these. I can pick these up for a song if I want and make a 2nd system. Any thoughts.

They're an old classic - go for it!
Thiel CS2.2 speakers can sound awe-inspiring. I used to sell a lot of them. So replace the tweeters, feed them something on vinyl, and enjoy. Very detailed and coherent. Image like nobody's business and disappear like magic.
