I have (2) of them. One is on loan / sale to Burke. It is a very well built amp with a rating of 250W per channel into 8 ohms and 500W into 4 ohms. This amp has no problem powering any ML speaker. The quality is outstanding and has Balanced and RCA inputs. The amp is very good looking with an all Al chassis and long grain finish. I would recommend this amp without hesitation. This amp sold new for about $2,000.00 and can be had in the used marked for $700.00 to $800.00.

Listed below is the link to the Sunfire website you can DL the user manual and cut sheet.

Cherian,

The one thing I don't like about this amp (and it's really not that big a deal) is that the previous lines of sunfire amps (and most of the current models if I am not mistaken) allow the user to use the seperate voltage and current outputs for bi-wiring purposes. The symphonic line does not offer this. Have you had any experience with other sunfire amps that allowed one to run the voltage out to the woofer and the current to the panels (or tweeters)?

Thanks for your input...I am bird dogging a sunfire amp as I write this...If I can grab that amp for < $1000, I think that's a pretty good deal.

Erik

No sorry I don't as my ML Scenarios can not be bi-wired. Many people have Sunfire amps and rave about them. I'm a big Bob Carver fan.

The current/voltage option is a great feature for those with stats or horns. I've had my ReQuests hooked up that way for 10 years now, stopping to switch the outputs every couple of years. I always switch back to current for my panels though.

I hope that you are not referring to the ad on ebay- I have been trying to score a sunfire amp for a while now. I am the only bidder so I hope it will stay that way.

Nah, I won't engage in a bidding war with a fellow forum member. Enjoy the amp.

Cool. Good that you won that particular amp. At less than $800, I think that's a terrific deal on such a powerful amplifier!
