I can't post pics yet but, I've replaced both woofers on my Sequel's. They look like the rubber surround let go of the cone, the isn't any deterioration of the surround that I can see, I saved them 'just in case' they could be restored at a later date. I don't plan on playing the new ones so loud that they suffer the same fate. Arizona is not the best place for rubber and glue :(. The caps and voice coils look fine too. I have access to a digital MM and my roommate is an EE/TE. If everything tests fine, does anyone recomend a kit to redo them?

Thanks,
Craig

Re foaming is easily done . there are kits from Parts Express. However if its just loose and all the foam is good and the cone is too I would find a soft flexible type glue and re glue them . Maybe model airplane glue.

My Sequels had the same problem. The surrounds detached from both the cone and the basket. I used Aileene's Tacky Glue to put them back together with excellent results. That brand of glue is water-based so it's easy to clean up. It's also very, very strong once cured, and flexible.

Thanks guys! That's kind of what I thought, So now I have a matched set of new woofers and back ups. I have alot of fun with them on Weds. They never fail to put a :D on my face!
