Hi! My first thread, I bought a little Sanyo A35 integrated amp, because it was my first new audio purchase in 1979, I loved the sound of it, after giving it away I missed it more and more, fastforward to 2 months ago, I found and bought one because the build date sticker on the bottom was my birthday, not the same year tho. It was mint, arrived safely too!
I got stupid and hooked it up to the Sequel's knowing not to push it hard.
Specs are 50w @8ohm, 55w @4ohm.
Bad idea, it was sounding just as I remebered it all those years ago, sweet, big soundstage, lot's of toe tappin' then silence....no magic smoke, nothing smelled burned, I unplugged everything, no go the next day
I sent it to a tech buddy in VA, it was just a power switch, it's on it's way back to AZ next week, I have more appropriate speakers for it now. Lesson learned, D'oh! Does anybody else have a sweet little vintage 50 watter for other speaker's they use? I'm just being nosey.
