Perfect wave dac mkii opinions

Hi all

Since ps audio has come out with the new direct stream dac , I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the PWD mkii.

Seems like it gets decent reviews - but then like everything else as soon as the replacement model comes out you hear about the so called warts.

I have a denon 5900 right now and wondered if it would be a huge improvement and if the denon would be a decent transport. I would still have to go analog out for my sacd however.

I have a squeezebox touch as well.

Lots of info on different forums about this DAC and it has a great reputation. Said to compete well with much more expensive DACs. And since the DSD just came out, there should be lots of them for sale over the next few months.

I am waiting to see what the consensus is on the DSD vs PWD Mkii and will buy one of the two. I'll get the DSD if it turns out to be as good as people are saying. If not, I'll go with the cheaper PWD. I just got a PWT a little while ago and am burning it in now (temporarily using a Schiit Bifrost DAC). Should be a great combo no matter which DAC I end up with, PWD or DSD.

I would expect the Denon will be a fine transport for the PWD, and I would expect the PWD to be a big improvement over the DAC in the Denon.
