Hi there,

I bought a pair of sl3 speakers about 1.5 years ago and have been plagued by a problem where one side sounds a bit duller than the other, as if it is lacking highs compared to the other or some other characteristic that makes it sound a little different from the other and not really as good. I have replaced the panels with new ones and I still find I have a problem. It seems to me that the problem is probably in the electronics behind the panel. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Does anyone have any suggestion as to which parts in the crossover or power supply I should look at trying to fix or replace? The speakers are probably close to 15 years old, are there elements which are likely to have worn out in this time?

Thanks,

Chris N

Hola Chris. I presume that you already swapped the speakers, left to right. Sometimes, your amp, or preamp could be doing this problem too. The best advice is above, by slowGEEZR, call ML service department. They will guide you to track the culprit of your high frequency loss. Happy listening!!!
