Well, I got this through a few days ago. It's not making me throw up - which is pretty good for U2
Very nice packaging and at 182 grams per record according to my kitchen scales (what needs calibrating against what
?), the sound quality is nice. It won't blow you away but it is very, very listenable indeed.
This is a good effort.
They played the single on Radio 2, and got 8 phone calls, all hating it, saying they should give up. I don't think it's gonna go down well here. We're fed up with them, I guess. I thought I'd buy it cos it's about time I did buy an album of theirs - I don't own a single one!
Having said that, Q magazine gave it a "best U2 album yet" type award, with an "only time will tell" comment. Only
you can decide.
Let's make the sound quality rating nice+. Whatever that means...
