I recently replaced my original Aerius' with a pair of Summit X. I am using a Classe' CA-300 amplifier and a BAT VK31SEpreamp.
The Summit X's sound terrific but I am starting to think about an amp upgrade. I listen to vinyl on a VPI Scout with an Ortophon 2M Black cartridge, FM radio on a McIntosh MR-77 tuner, and digital from a variety of devices through a Wyred 4 Sound DAC2. Always looking for tips on my system and suggestions for new music. My wife and I attend live music frequently be it rock, folk, world, or classical. I am glad she enjoys music as much as I do .
