Hi Everyone, I'm interested in purchasing a set of ML's for my main 2ch system. Components include Modded MSB gold link DAC, Adcom GFP-750 pre & GFA-565 mono block amps. Interconnects & speaker cables are cryo'd from a local toronto company, YYW. I'm going balanced all the way thru soon and I'm planning on sending the amps in to be modified in the next month or so.

The room is 13w x 20d x 8.5h. Along the 13ft wall, I have a large (6ftW x 6.5ftH x 26"deep) A/V cabinet. This leaves me a 30"wide x 28" deep opening on either side for the speakers. Currently using modded PSB status Bronze. UPDATED- I forgot to mention that I'm looking at a pair of Sequel II's for sale locally.

I have 2 questions I would like to post and any feedback from the ML club members would be greatly appreciated.

Q1) Is the space I have avail to small of an area to place a set of ML's and have them sound proper or is it workable?.....

Q2) would the electronics be a good match for the ML's or not?.....

I would hate to make the purchase and discover that I have made a mistake.

any feedback from any of the club members is greatly appreciated!...

Thanks, Brad

Your space is workable. I have my Summits in a room that is basically 14' wide by 19' long and am very happy with the results. It would be nice to have a few more feet of width, but you will do fine at 13'. The A/V cabinet is a little more challenging, as this sort of thing really hurts your imaging. I suggest you read up on some of the threads regarding acoustical treatments and consider putting some acoustical absorption panels on the wall behind your speakers. This will help control unwanted reflections and resonances (basically the megaphone effect of the sound being reflected back from the spaces on either side of the A/V cabinet).

Q2) would the electronics be a good match for the ML's or not?.....

I am not familiar with the Adcom equipment so will let others with more knowledge help you with this question.
