Melody Gardot Live in Europe

For CD the reviews I have been mixed. Many have said her vocals are overpowered by band and what vocals there are are not her quality.

Have any of you purchased this and if so what are your thoughts?

A huge MD fan. Preordered and have had for two weeks or so.

Have no idea what disc the reviewers are talking about. Not a throw away on either disc sonically and musically.

Buy it. And if you don't have it, get "Currency of Man" which is her previous release.

That is the issue with peoples reviews. You never really know what their frame of reference is no matter how they describe it.

I do trust you know what a good recording sounds like. Thanks again.

Gordon, People wrote in reviews the band over powered her vocals, plus said it was to low key and slow moving and couldn't hold their attention.

Possibly need their ears cleaned or new equipment.

Wonderful recordings, nice live variations of songs with her influence.

Glad you agree with me. It is on the mellower side of the equation but really showcases her voice.
