Martin Logan Newbie

Hello all...
I am in the planning phase to replace my current 7.1 setup and trying to figure out what I am going to go with. I am leaning toward Martin Logan right now with this setup.
Fronts: Source or Electromotion ESL Electrostatic*
Sides: Motion 12's
Rears: Motion 4's
Center: Motion 8
Sub: Dynamo 700

I am using a Pioneer Elite SC-57 for my receiver. Will this setup match up well together? I was also wondering if the electomotion is worth the extra money over the Source. Any recommendations or inputs that you guys can provide would be great.

First off, welcome to the forum Pro!

I'd go for the EM ESL's; get the better speakers on the front side! Your receiver should be fine to start with but make sure it has pre-amp outs so down the road you can add an external amp if needed. I can't comment on the Motion series or the Dynamo as I haven't heard them. Good luck with your system set-up!

Thanks for the response... What are the differences between the Electromotion and Source speakers? I can't find any type of comparison online.

Hola. Go to ML web site and there will find all the info the you need to know. The Electromotions have bigger panel, and are the latest ML product. You can't go wrong with them. Bigger panel means better sound. See the awards section there and serach for reviews. Happy listening!!!
