I do not think I am getting all I can be out of my spires with the amp I have
maybe you all could lead me in the right direction.
my system goes like this rotel 1072cdplayer > lexicon mc-8 balanced> rotel 1095 >spires, stage, clarity rears. I use this system 50% movies 50% stereo.
can I get a better amp for the spires and still have them integrated into a home theatre setup.I am interested in tubes or possibly a pass labs 2x250
I now that is wide range I just would like to hear your thoughts "used" is prefered. I really like the sound of tubes but have never heard any on spires, vantage ect.

C'mon now, Fish... this is the single most posted question on the site.

I think you'll be getting the same answers from the same people who answered all the other posts in regards to this same question.. Plus you got 5 amps listed in the "Recommended Equpiment - Amplifiers" section, including a tube amp...

Poke around a little and you'll find answers.

With that being said, you can't go wrong with Pass Labs, IMHO....

Hola...because of the high sensitivity that your new Spires have, you can use even low wattage power amplifiers to drive them easy. You do know that it is better quality watts than quatity watts, right?...Conrad Johnson, VTL, Audio Research Company, Cary Audio, are some samples for tubes, and SS, are so many good brands like Levinson, Jeff Rowland, Pass Labs, Bryston, Boulder, Halcro etc. Some of us like the sweet tube sound over the precision bass of the SS. A lot of good choices on today's market place. I have an Audio Research VT-100 MKII, it is old, but truly sings in my system. Trust your ears and not in specs!...happy listening,
Roberto.

Take a stroll through Audiogon. There's always lots of tasty tube (and SS) stuff available there.

what most concerns me
