My system which is 2 Vista, 1 Dynamo, 1 Fresco-i, 2 Infinity surround speakers. Yamaha RX-V2700. I think i need a good Amp Yamaha sounds good as long as you do not turn it up because if you do it will shut down. So when i was in ATL i was told to go see George at BestBuy Perimeter store they have Mcintosh amps the ML sounded awsome with these amps we listen to a 5.1 and some loud mono blocks by Mcintosh. He said they have a 7.1 model 8207 that may fit my needs. Would like some feed back on different amps or thoughts.
Thanks for your help the FNG.

Welcome John Henry. That's a famous American folklore name! That McIntosh is a sweet seven channel amp that should do your system proud, IMO.

Vistas are great speakers. They desreve better than a Yamaha receiver though. I am glad you auditioned for yourself what you can get when you hook the ML speakers to a high-end amplifier. The Vistas are bi-ampable. That will be the ultimate way to squeeze out the best performace out of these speakers. You should look into power amps that are very high current that can tolerate 1 ohm resistence coming from the Vistas. That is why your Yamaha is shutting down to protect its circuitry from being melted!

So invest as much as you can in getting a high quality amp.
