Has anyone given any thought to the effects of elevation on the performance of your ML's? It affects athletes, aviation and NHRA dragster, so why not my Logans.
I would assume that those of us at elevations above 5-6,000 feet might suffer from reduced bass response due to thinner air to push. Where as our highs might scream from the clarity of less air interfering.

Will Vantages fit in a hyperbaric chamber? Wink, grin.

That's why Martin Logan made the Summits - when used in higher elevations, you simply dial in more bass to compensate... :music:

in outer space, no one can hear your screams . . . . .

Both high and low frequencies need air to propagate (travel) and all frequencies travel almost as fast at high altitudes as low. What's different is the SPL (loudness in dB) is a bit less. The air is less dense at high altitudes, and the atmospheric pressure is therefore less than at sea level. So the only compensation you'd have to make, is to increase the setting on the volume control slightly to get the same SPL at your listening position, as you would at sea level.
