I have a Denon 3808 receiver, a pair of source, grotto and sunfire TGA-5200 amp. What crossover frequency should I set in Denon receiver? The Denon manual suggests 80Hz. But the manual of source says it can respond to 43Hz up.

Does anyone have the same receiver? Setting it to stereo mode sounds better than using the direct model. Which mode do you use for listening to 2-channels?

Thanks,
Luke

For 2 channel listening I would set the front speakers to large and say no sub on the Denon. Then run speaker level to the Grotto then speaker level from the Grotto to the front speakers . Use the Grotto crossover to your taste

hola Luke...that's a good advise from Cherian, and also you could use the 80Hz THX .1 frequency cut with no problem. The subwoofer will handle all the bass info, and perhaps your amp will love more this kind of connection. Try both and choose the one that you liked most. Trust your ears...happy listening,
Roberto.

Setting it to 60Hz in receiver seems the best to me. Thank you both for the suggestions.

Stereo music = LARGE for the two towers.

Movies = 60 Hz for my Vantages (should probably be 80 Hz, but i just want to be different) :D and 80 Hz for my center and surrounds.
