Hi , Do any of you use the CLX for 2 channel TV and dvd/blu-ray (using nothing except a single pair of CLXs). If so does it work ok and do you feel they need subs?. Thanks for any input.

CLXs for TV speakers... seems like overkill to me, but I guess it depends on one's particular situation. Certainly if the longer term plan was to evolve things to a full surround sound system, then kicking things off with CLX as main left/right would be a glorious beginning.
On subwoofing... if Blu-Ray is in the mix and you like your wall hangings aggressively tilted, then yes a SW would help... but with speakers of that caliber, you would want a serious subwoofer to integrate properly. (ML or JL at least)

To sort of answer your question..........
I use 4 CLXs in a surround sound system with JL Gotham for the bottom end. Technically it is a MCH system but I have shut down the MCH and listened to stereo for a second or two, but for me.....what's the point
Now sometimes I watch some TV on this system, but only the video. I listen to MCH music while watching sports and that is about it for TV.
But seriously, CLXs do stereo just fine, the bass is good, not home theather break down the walls good, but good none the less.
Now if you want to enjoy Hi-Res SACD and DVD Audio with CLXs, it doesn't get any better than that..... six channel bliss......but you probably knew that already

Thanks, sorry - to clarify I would also be using them for 2 channel music as well - but wondered how they would work with 2-channel TV/blu-ray additionally.
