I saw a picture and and link to someone who had built a barn to house his HT/2channel gear, I am contemplating doing the same thing and would like to see the pictures again and possibly talk with the owner.

You are referring to Mike Lavinge's room I believe.

Here's an article on it:

POOR GUY! Must be a rough life for him! His own personal creek and waterfall, country home/garage (probably just behind his HUGE house or something like that) looking at the mountains from that kickin' porch when he is tired of watching movies or listening to some music on the high end 2ch system! I feel for him...

Note the one chair in the room. I'm all for prime listening position, but I prefer at least *one* guest... If it's never going to be a shared experience, why not just use high-end headphones, maybe with a sub to add physical effects?

Thats the one, I just rebuilt a early 50's house in San Diego and I have a huge backyard in which to build and play, If I build a two story one in the back, I can drive down the alley and park in the bottom portion (other hobby) and have the room I want for the theater above for not to much more money, also anything on the second floor would have a ocean view because of our lot layout which would go a long way towards increasing the value of the home.

No I can show the wife some photo's.
