Aerius question

Being new to ML's , I am quite under educated.

I would like to know how to take the woofer front panel off to expose it as I have noticed pictures without it. I have only had them for a week and don't want to play with anything I could break unless I know what I am doing.

Having just done this last week I will reply. Unhook everything, power, cables etc. Lay the speaker down so that the jacks are on a pillow or something. You want to keep from damaging the jacks on the rear.

Then remove the side rails by bumping them from the bottom with a rubber hammer. After a few taps the rails dislodge and come off.

The woofer grill can be removed by lifting it off or pulling it off from the bottom. It is affixed at the top with tape.

The speakers you have seen with the grille removed are most likely the Gen 2 speakers (Aeon/Ascent/Odyssey/Prodigy). These had a traditional cloth grille and were easier to remove.

People generally don't do it on first Gen speakers (such as the Aerius) or Gen 3s as these have panel-like grille.
