    CLX, still incredible.

I am on my second set of panels for my CLSiiZ's. Well worth the money and for the price (around $2500 for the pair) it is hard to find a speaker which is this good.

    CLX, still incredible.

The replacement of the CLS panels were not too bad and I did them a month ago.

    Tubes or Solid State

As a FYI and $.02 more, I have been using a Pass Labs 150.8 on my CLSiiZ with great success for many years. I think it is the best I have had.

    Best speaker cable for CLS?

Robert, I think it was around $200 for the Duelunds. You can get there here and they ship quickly. https://partsconnexion.com/search.php?search_query=Duelund cable Don't get wrong, Tara Labs are one of the great cables out there but they too go to place where I cannot afford them. I believe at...

    Best speaker cable for CLS?

I had an expensive pair of Tara Labs that I used for my CLSiiZ and they were good. After a lot of research and a bit of faith, I tired using Duelund single wire cables, you need four strands to two speakers. If memory is not failing too bad I believe they were 12 gauge. To my amazement, they...

A lot of it depends on how much you listen to multi-channel and home theater. If you tend to be more home theater oriented, a bigger the center would be advantageous. It really a judgement call here because money does come in to play here. If it is possible to borrow or try out a larger center...

More changes over the last year and retired

I have upgraded my ML Center channel speaker and will let my Theater i go for a good price if anyone is interested. I am the original owner. I bought it new and it was a floor demo. I am guessing about 15 years old. Thanks

What causes panels to wear out?

FYI, new panels for the Sequels are a bit over $1400. I know because I got a quote for my Sequel ii's. I use mine for rear speakers and they still sound OK. Would new panels make they better, probably, but, they have been moved to rear speakers in a surround environment. Enjoy the journey! ;)

I have my old CLS panels if anyone wants them. They work but are tired and need a refresh? ;)

JonFo, The Sequel ii panels are $1425.00 for the pair. I just got that quote last week.

More changes over the last year and retired

I just replaced the panels on my CLSiiZ's and boy did I miss how good they sound. It was worth the investment. Unfortunately, my Sequel ii panels are starting to show their age as well. I should not complain they are from 2003. I use them for rears and yes I know it is a bit of over kill but...

    SL3 crossover

It is possible it is the crossover but not likely. You said you swapped the speakers, was that swapping the panels or moving the entire thing?

    High Pitched Whine

Most of the models have a sensing circuit which will turn off after a short time, I think 20 minutes but I am not sure about the time. When the circuit receives a signal from the preamp, receiver or what ever, it will turn on. I leave mine "on" all the time. I try to vacuum them every few...

New here but not to ML/Amp Upgrades Rec ?

Mia, Welcome! I would definitely look in the used market. There are a lot of good buys and it will help you get to where you want to be. I think I speak for a lot of use here that we have traded sideways and up a long the way to get there. I did have a Rotel back in the day but it got "thin"...

    ML Aerius 1 Pannel Weakness

Just a FYI, Martin Logan estimates the life of the panels to be between 10 and 15 years. My Sequel ii are now starting to show their age and they are from 2003! I just replaced my CLSiiZ panels which were from 2005.

ESL 3 Inherited for an outdoor shed

I would not use Simple Green. The panels are probably shot but washing them in luke warm water may give back a bit of life back but not permanent. That model is SL3's They will need some current to drive them and the Sony receiver is not going to make it and will either shut off or go in to...

More changes over the last year and retired

With any luck it will be this week. I emailed ML last week because I have no patience. He said as of last on Thursday there were about a week behind and I was 5th in line! I asked about the time it takes to actually make the panels and I was told that the spars come from Canada but everything...

New CLS Owner with lots of quetions.

Just to add here, the power board is still available for the CLS but not the interface board. I too, would avoid the head treatment. Cleaning the panels is not a bad thing but it just buys time. If you can see through the panels pretty well I would leave them be. Martin Logan still makes new...
