I didn't measure them but could hear they were down as they sounded dull at the top. Now they have speed and detail again and yes seem to be balanced with the bass again.

Sounds like it is possible the high voltage board has failed. One can swap back panels to verify. If this is the case then the board will need rebuilding/repair or replacement...about 380 bucks last I checked. Martin Logan support was great help when I needed them.

I just did this with a pair of Ascents (original foam type standoffs not clear spar fyi). I removed the panels and used wooden clothes pins all along the edges of the panels to hold them tight together to prevent slipping. I went the Simple green route, placed both panels upside down on a towel...

I picked up my used requests localy not long after picking up a cheap pair of ascents. They are fantastic!

If only I were close.

Hi All My Martin Logan journey began a few months ago by my picking up a used pair of Ascents. I had to replace a high voltage board to get one going and was enjoying them. Now a few days ago I was able to pick up a nice unmolested pair of Requests...WOW! What a great loudspeaker! Very pleased...

I certainly appreciate the tips! I have many of the same concerns regarding the foam spars.

$370.00 ouch! But they work now. I am now contemplating washing the panel/s.

I had success using an 80 watt iron with big tip.

OK going thru these I determined the transformer on the high voltage board was bad but ML wouldn't sell me the part so I had to bite the bullet and buy a new board. Installed it and we have our loudspeakers function back. Sounds great!

I appreciate the help. I'm going to see if I have voltage to the esl panel at the quick connectors and go from there. It's easier to have a look there first without opening the back up again but I suspect I will be there checking output at t1 as the next step depending what I find. If it shows...

Schedule conflicts have been keeping me from looking at this again until last night. Disconnected the wires to the snap connectors on the board to remove it to have a closer look. Wasn't able to remove board as I didn't have the required square driver bit so reattached the wires and now I have...

Both of mine are down as well no sound at all. I opened mine up and cannot find any fuse on the board. Where is this fuse located? Is it perhaps hidden in the grey connectors on the board that connect the leads to the board? They are large for connectors. Thanks for any help at all.
