    Power cables replacement

remember folks, in a passive ELS like Theos, EM ESL, the power connection is only so the panel holds a fixed charge so muisc is not on it at all. Ones with amps (Ethos on up) can be more affected by power cables. well designed fully shielded power cables should be enough of an upgrade for a...

New Balanced Force 210 and 212 subs!

Fear not on the 210/211 and your concern on internal standing waves. the same attention to resonance control of the cabinet and interaction of drives have been given to this design versus the Depth/Descent. we have been at work for 2 years on them and are finally happy with the results. Even...

    Graphene - future ESL material

damn, i missed a chance to punk! see how seriously i take my involvement on the site? seriously, all info is back with PD. Yes, that NXT thing didn't pan out is a slight understatement.

    Graphene - future ESL material

met with a vendor at CES, all date in hands of PD department. Our current coating is proving very reliable, but in our quest, who knows? i bring all such leads to the developmet boys.

Are MLs still made in Lawrence, Kansas?

new Dynamo 1500 built up north as will the new subs slated for late summer, shown at CES.

Are MLs still made in Lawrence, Kansas?

All right, i will get in here. Product Development, Sales (inside and customer interaction), accounting, construction of legacy panels, repair, prototyping, return to stocks all remain in Kansas. The videos on our youtube link show the construction of ESL, cabinet being done up in Canada. We...

Looking for floorstanding surrounds - EFX or Motion SLM?

there are two port outlets on the bottom of the EFX cabinet that will need breathing room. you can probably make someting up pretty easily that sould lift them up to a good height but make them movable. make sure your head is in about the middle of the panel when you are done.

    Martin Logan ElectroMotion vs Clarity/Source

to add to Roberto's considerable experience, knowledge, we tilt the smaller panels back a bit so that at typical listening distances, (10 ft or so) both sitting and standing will have your head inside the line source's dispersion area. with the larger Summits, Montis, we make the feet modular...

Architectural series - Edge/Axis with Spires

In walls are not reviewed like "normal" speakers because of the unusual demand of having to build a wall to fairly review a product so reviews can be hard to come by. At Cedia a bit ago, we did build a false wall for a pair of Edges to A/B against a pair Montis to demonstrate how close one can...

ML EM-FX2 and Motion FX - are they bipole or dipole?

yes. even with the very broad dispersion of the top end, being right behind you as opposed to the 110 degree would still leave you a hole on the side that you are probably experiencing.

weigh in on acoustic lobing (center channel design) ?

the two woofers run in parallel with one rolling off at the first frequency, the other continuing on. try both ways, but we do not define a top or bottom. Watch the Home Theater review coming up with 40s, 30, 15s(16s are the same) that is a rave up on both the 30, 15s.

    Bad Rumour ?

and we hope all of our legacy friends will enjoy things in the upper end that should please everyone. it is a good time to be a MLer. should be a pretty exciting year or so. Just dont' ask me too much, but the high end is still what drives us.

weigh in on acoustic lobing (center channel design) ?

on the Motion 30, C2, we use 2 1/2 way xover designs where one of two woofers roll off so lobing is not an issue. When drivers are smaller such as in the Motion 8, there isn't much lobing but it is a simplerer design. I have one, don't notice much off axis and we are aware of it in the bigger...

    Bad Rumour ?

Ummh, where the heck did that come from? we are on pace for another growth year, a number of new goods, many in the high end are on the board or in process so at least from my seat, all is great or at least good. Love rumours. No smoke up skirts, all businesses are haveing a tougher time...

    Sound problem

got to jump in based on my field experiences. I don't like what Audessey does to our speakers. In talking to engineers on the Paradigm side(ARC, PBK), they suggest that Audessey has a "sound" that they feel is the right one and is applying it to all speakers. Since we are a big dipole, we...

    Which sub/amp for EFX mains?

Remember, the blending is done by us with the woofer to the stat being done in the cabinet. the sub is a separate issue and will not be a problem at all to blend. i would suggest using the 700 as a forward firing woofer for best blend but it is easy to experiment.

New Balanced Force 210 and 212 subs!

I do not have footprint numbers on the 210 but it is about as wide as a depth at its widest, a bit taller, heavier (i was tired Friday night on packing so can only guess on that). the general shape is rectangular with a narrower front tapering back to a bit wider rear. In rethinking, it will be...

New Balanced Force 210 and 212 subs!

as is typical of show reports, not 100% accurate, but damn close. to the question of measuerments, the bigger drives, even reduced in number, means greater extension for more output versus the older ones. 2 years of struggle on getting better than Depth/Descents finally almost done. tough to...

    My Descent Speaker - Blown

to your fears of having to ship your Descent, it is very rarely that has to happen, on any of our speakers. We have always strived to make our products field repairable. it sounds like a blown woofer, a new one will come with a complete install instructions and pictures.

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

I will jump in and actually congratulate you on a decent solution. If you one day get creative and make a cabinet that fits better, you have the drives, xover and internal box dimensions to work with in the soon to be canablized 10. Great speaker and i use them for a small home theater in the...
