Neolith Purchase Order Has Been Placed

and it was fun setting the up for Robert. Moving his Magicos Q7s out the way, schlepping this in place was revealing. He had a heck of a grin the second we fired them up. set up took about 45 minutes, we all broke for our hotels, his office to do work, met for dinner. Of course he listened...

    Reconfigured Prodigy

Use the LFE input as that does not have a high pass xover active on that. R/L inputs use the xover.

    ML ceiling speaker question

Please understand what I said initially. What I am saying is NOT build a back box. Putting a hard material in contact with the wall material behind it all will NOT cut sound transmission very much. The second caution is that a builder or carpenter, if he is building a sealed space behind a...

    ML ceiling speaker question

All speakers are going to transmit sound off the back of a cone so there is a possibility of sound transmission to occur in an adjoining room. Some people have a hard box but that hard material typically does not knock down too much of a back wave and with reduced air volume will compromise...

when i used to work the international beat, a visit to him was always a high point. Good family as well. We had a legendary dinner at his house a few years ago that will always bring a smile.

I'm wanting to try a sub with my clsiiz, help please

sorry, i am on vacation now working on my house so have not looked too closely at privates as that is a very rarely used function for me. Now you get to hate me more. the reason Joe V put many up there is since the CLS is more interactive with rooms versus others, more filter slope/EQs curves...

I'm wanting to try a sub with my clsiiz, help please

beauty of the system is that it is very easy to experiment. With your careful set up that you have now, i will bet you will use the natural and not he 80 hz reinforcement but your ears will guide you. the system takes seconds to download and there is a top mounted switch under the glass cover...

I'm wanting to try a sub with my clsiiz, help please

a 210 has been impressive in several shows i have done in a variety of rooms and if you can't afford a 212, the obvious next step. Both of them have roughly a 6 db improvement in output levels versus the older depth, descent series. Worst case is one day, you get another 210 but i am betting...

I'm wanting to try a sub with my clsiiz, help please

salesman hat on but a BF210, 212 both offer downloadable filter slopes idealized for most, including CLS, to make blending all the better. Add room correction that is on the subs make the potential perfect blend pretty easy. Recent rave reviews in multiple mags point at them as great products...

M-L In-wall on wall surround question

don't want to put a salesman hat on, but know that we worked hard on them and where designed in the same room as the stats so we can make sure that they will work together. Given ATF and FMT drivers and their near electrostatic virtues in most of our series, we are going to be the best bet in...

Replacement panels for SL3, which panels are compatible ?

understand that panels spars are unique to a series of panels so retrofitting a summit panel would take a lot of work to voice right with the bottom end. Different efficiency, compliance and spacing of spares, mounting systems changes would be a huge challenge to fit. It is important to note...

Neolith Purchase Order Has Been Placed

Hello Gary, Good on the 8. I have found that in most of my shows, but when i did one with Mike on the Neolith we verified again that the non intuitive 8 ohm tap sounded best overall. Many go to 4 based on specs so i hope to get the word out to experiment and trust your ears. I will be there...

Neolith Purchase Order Has Been Placed

Hello Gary, just watching the saga. glad you are exploring the limits of our big one. One question i may have asked before is have you tried the 8 ohm taps on the macs? i have often found them the best sounding in may cases.

Descent i and Depthi...Are they really servo controlled?

yup, i will be there although have to leave Sunday to go yet another show(not an audio show). Mike Ware will be running the room. the Neolith's did great at Axpona last weekend with Dennis doing the sheperding.

Descent i and Depthi...Are they really servo controlled?

amen to RUR's comments. One of the great distortion reducing design elements of a stat is a simple one: Large surface area. A speaker's distortion climbs with excursion. Since our smallest stat is huge as compared to a small midrange and a tweeter the result is they measure much lower in...
