    System no. 442 ( CLS, Motion 15, ELS 9 )

My 9’s are 3 years old and sound great, hope they don’t suffer a similar fate so soon!

    Absorption or Diffusion?

After a phone discussion he’s of the impression a strictly absorption approach is best. https://www.gikacoustics.com/product/gik-acoustics-244-bass-trap-flexrange-technology/ This is what I’ll almost certainly be going with on front wall and on immediate return wall each side.

    Absorption or Diffusion?

Rich, I have a small room, 11x11 with a sloped ceiling front to back. Lots of hard surfaces except for carpet. My classic 9’s are roughly 32” stat to front wall, due to space constraints I can’t do much more than that. I borrowed some absorption panels from a fellow ML enthusiast 2x4 in size...

New Member Seeking Opinions/Sanity Checks Regarding Sequel II to ESL15a Upgrade

Once you get this dialed in I highly recommend you try putting sound absorption panels behind your panels, when we can’t get them far enough from the front wall (at least 48”), that back wave of sound really messes with clarity and separation, while you might think it sounds fine now….just wait...

Want to buy ML's but can't decide which ones.

Keep shopping, you should find a nice pair of used classic 9’s for under $4k, I went from electro motion ESL to them and it’s a world different. A good match for your room, mine is slightly smaller and they’re awesome.

    Subwoofer recommendations

I only listen to music with this system but the bass is incredibly tight and deep, being able to strongly discern / feel / hear kick drum beats is awesome. You might consider a wireless sub if routing wiring is a pain. I haven’t tried a wireless sub but seems a logical option. I have the pricey...

Yes it’s right next to my listening chair.

    Subwoofer recommendations

After trying several arrangements with two subs, I purchased a connector long enough to get the second sub on the rear wall, facing forward and wow what an improvement that made! I’m keeping the B&W DB4S up by the stats and moved the larger Klipsch to the rear. Tight and deep, just what I...

    Not Happy With 15As

You already took a huge step getting the beast 15A’s, but you’re on the edge looking down into the rabbit hole! Jump in, join the rest of us crazies!

hi everyone. my photos are attached here...

Are you still happy with your edition X headphones? I’ve classic 9 ML stats and would like a headphone presenting a sound that is comparable.

    Friday chillin…

I’ll take a look at those dimensions for set up but I’m obviously quite limited on space especially width. The preamp is the NAD C658 streamer which uses the Blusound app which is very nice. I recently bought some 11” tall stands to place the lights on therein getting the vertical light bar up...

what amp to use with Renaissance 15a

Room is 11.5x11.5, it’s pinched in this view by a Murphy bed. Ceiling slopes front to rear wall adding to room’s acoustics, with the B&W DB4S sub it’s amazing. I’m sure some sound deadening on the front wall would help. They’re pulled out 33” from front wall (to face of panel), plus tilted to...

But they are pretty! We little classic 9’s compared to your monster 15’s!

I have acquired a B&W DB4S added to my Klipsch and holy cow what a musical add it is! Crazy how much depth this sub provides, I’m working on locations but so far it’s impressive!
