Actually spraying with simple green will help breakdown any organics in there which you probably need since they were stored like that. Just use a diluted solution in a spray bottle let it set a couple minutes then rinse well with tap water then rinse them with distilled water and let air dry...

Wet them, spray with the detergent and let it set for a minute or so, rinse with regular water then do the distilled water rinse. Supposedly you don’t really need to work the back side of the panels.

I bought a large like 2.5 gallon dispenser that’s got a pull out port to dump the water on it, you basically are just flooding it to rinse it. Then let it air dry for like 24 hours.

Yes I used simple green if I remember right. Then the distilled water rinse. It never really made a difference. My two panels were of different age, I was able to buy the matched panel (next serial number) from one of the panels and they mated well so really it was just the output of the one...

Yes the anthem amp does very well with ESL’s, albeit I’m currently using it in a bi-amp set up driving the woofers and a Sanders Magtech for the panels….

Make sure the voltage on the transformers is correct, it’s in the model owners literature. If the wrong voltage it COULD be that it’s not properly energizing the panels.

You need to make sure the voltage is right. I’d used successfully a pair of wall warts from Best Buy. That’s your issue.

I was in your shoes a couple years ago, bought a used pair of the entry level electromotion ESL’s and it was a great entry point…but I quickly wanted more. Now you should find some ESL’s or better yet ESL-X’s in your range but honestly if you go down the road of buying an older (cheaper)...

These speakers were designed to be bi-amped, so I don’t get your concern here.

Sanders Magtech amp is in and hands down a marked improvement in clarity and soundstage. Going to try bi-amping with anthem in the bottom end.

So the Magtech is in and the results were shockingly impressive! Roger Sanders clearly knows what he’s doing. I believed I had clarity and good sound staging / imaging before, but upon listening to a couple of diverse tracts of music back to back with the Anthem amp the difference was...
