a loud noise floor is one thing and a ground loop is another.you should be able to fix the ground loop and improve the noise floor with a better pre amp and cartridge ... don't give up analog is the way to audio bliss :) who did you buy your TT from?

sounds like the panels are messed up ! call customer support also in addition could be something electrical inside messing up your bass

well said TonePub I think sometimes sometimes salesman only can see what they think to be as an immediate sale and underestimate a potential customer. in the scheme of life and all of its expenses I think it is unwise to just assume that younger,poorer,or not well dressed and eager for a sale...
