I'm a realtor in Colorado Springs. We have 5 military installations so I deal with people pcsing in and out all the time. If any of you military guys end up coming through let me know I would love to talk ML/HT with you.
I wouldn't buy any discs until they come to a conclusion on the winner. I would rent them all day long though. Then my only investment would be the player($500). If HD-DVD appears to be on its way out I would then go Blue-Ray obviously. I would just stick with the lower costing player if...
I'm surprised to hear a lot of people here are going to wait on the HD dvd players. I would assume that most people here would not think twice about spending $500 on cables (or many other mods)for there system with minimal effects. The difference between HD and standard dvd on my 115" front...
Wow, Bloomington Silver Cert.. Very nice. I bet you did very well selling that. I have a full roller 509 that runs on pump gas in my vette. Convertible though so no e.t. slips for me.
Actually, I listened to the B&W's just the other day at Listen UP. They had just completed their dedicated listening room and were running them with Classe amps. I don't think it compared to my Logans at all IMHO. I also believe the best procuct frequently is not the most sold. The best...
I have read occasionally on this forum and other forums the opinion that their HT doesn't need as good of speakers or amps/receivers as a 2 channel set up.
Most movies have a lot of music in them (hence people buying soundtracks all the time) with the main item reproduced being the human...
Buyers remorse will come into play no matter what anyone says. It seems to be human nature. At least you are buying the fun stuff now. When you decide to get your own house and dedicate a room it only gets worse. I just ordered a pair of $2000 mahogony french doors for my HT and a Middle...
Well like everyone else I anxiously await the HD DVD players. After reading the off topic thread on the new players I may need a new receiver or upgrade to take full advantage the sound options. I hope they will play DVD-A and SACD or that will be on the list also.
My main money sucking...
Hello all
I'm at a point were storing my Ascent i, Theater, and Script boxes have become a burden. Just wondering how many of you keep your boxes. I don't forsee selling any time soon but when the time comes it would be hard to ship with out the original packing and boxes.
Thanks
Lance
I started with a Denon 5803 and didn't like it. I then went to a Sunfire Ultimate Receiver and love it. My Sunfire runs cool, has a warm sound, great remote, is lightweight, and runs my 7 ML's quite well. Highly recommended.
I have the Denon 5803 and didn't care for how it sounded. I switched to a Sunfire Ultimate Receiver. Huge improvement over the Denon. I haven't tried seperates yet so I don't have much to add there.
Thanks for the reply. I checked out the link and couldn't find the answers to these dumb questions. Maybe you can answer them. Can I find a simple to run device that would play the music on my hard drive at a reasonable price. I would want the same quality as playing the cd in my dvd player...
Well I'm the minority here when I say I haven't been able to hear any differances in cables. I just did a blind test with some friends using a no-name 12 gauge wire, basic monster cable, and M series 1.4 bi-wired Monster Cables. Nobody could tell the difference in any of them. If your...
I've only watched a couple of movies so far but I thought the 7.1 was pretty cool. I haven't listened to a true 7.1 disc yet but the matrixed 5.1 sounds good. As I watch more, I'll let you know if my opinion changes. It's hard to get the wife down in the basement until its finished.
